چکیده

Ensuring reliable and stable communication during the movements of mobile users is one key issues in networks. In recent years, several studies have been conducted to address related Handover (HO) self-optimization Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) for Fourth Generation (4G) Fifth (5G) Various solutions developed determine or estimating optimum ideal settings Control Parameters (HCPs), such as Time-To-Trigger (TTT) Margin (HOM). However, complexity, high requirements, upcoming structure ultra-dense HetNets require more advanced HO techniques future implementation. This paper that may implemented next-generation by reviewing state-of-the-art algorithms. The discussed this survey are focus on Mobility Robustness Optimization (MRO), which a significant function 4G 5G applied will preserve continuous connection between User Equipment (UE) eNBs UE mobility, thereby enhancing quality. various algorithms revealed different outcomes. discusses pros cons these techniques, further examines challenges solutions. New directions implementation also identified. contribute understanding mobility management, particularly relation control parameters HetNets.

Seamless Mobility in Heterogeneous Mobile Networks

The objective of this paper is to introduce a vertical handover (VHO) algorithm between wireless LANs (WLANs) and LTE mobile networks. The proposed algorithm is based on the fuzzy control theory and takes into consideration power level, subscriber velocity, and target cell load instead of only power level in traditional algorithms. Simulation results show that network performance in terms of nu...

Mobility robustness optimization in self-organizing LTE femtocell networks

Femtocell is a promising solution for enhancing the indoor coverage and capacity in wireless networks. However, for the small size of femtocell and potentially frequent power on/off, existing handover schemes may not be reliable enough for femtocell networks. Moreover, improper handover parameters settings may lead to handover failures and unnecessary handovers, which make it necessary to enhan...

Self-Organizing Mobility Robustness Optimization in LTE Networks with eICIC

We address the problem of Mobility Robustness Optimization (MRO) and describe centralized Self Organizing Network (SON) solutions that can optimize connected-mode mobility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Our solution extends the earlier work of eICIC parameter optimization [7], to heterogeneous networks with mobility, and outline methods of progressive complexity that optimize the Retaining/...
